Under 100 Members to Over 300. $200K to $1M+.

Fantasy Sports Trade Association — A trade association built from a loose network of 30 companies into the recognized voice of an industry.

  • 300+ Members, up from under 100
  • 400% Revenue growth, $200K to $1M+
  • 5 International markets

The situation

Fantasy sports had no trade body. The industry was a loose network of roughly 30 companies with no standards, no collective voice, and no neutral convener.

The work

  • Built the trade association from scratch and served as its executive director
  • Set industry standards and merged the association with its largest competitor
  • Expanded into Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, and India
  • Launched the FSTA Buyer’s Guide, an industry directory that cleared $10,000 in its first four months and has since grown past 500 listing

The result

Membership grew from under 100 to more than 300, and annual revenue from $200,000 to more than $1 million. A loose network of 30 companies became the recognized voice of an industry, with chapters in five countries.
