With a background in business management, Josh serves as the Account Executive for VPG’s client-partner, the Esports Trade Association (ESTA). He has successfully taken on the challenge to manage the day-to-day operations of  ESTA and lead the trade association for the esports industry. A passionate gamer himself, he felt right at home working in this exciting and perpetually-evolving industry. Josh’s previous customer service and management experience makes him a great fit interfacing with client-partner members and working behind the scenes with the team. Though he was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, he has spent seven years in the Windy City and can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. He graduated from Indiana University in 2012 with a B.A. in History.

What is your motto/favorite quote? “Why was I chosen?” “Such questions cannot be answered,” said Gandalf. “You may be sure that it was not for any merit that others do not possess. But you have been chosen, and you must therefore use such strength and heart and wits as you have.”  ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
When you’re not at VPG, you’re…? Playing guitar; exploring Skyrim; doing agility with my dog (Tessa Mae); trying to reason with my cat (Oscar); perpetually repairing my various record playing equipment; and constantly laughing at my own jokes about ancillary Star Wars characters like a real Nien Nunb.
If you could choose one person to meet (dead or alive) who would it be? Raymond Chandler
What do you want to be when you grow up? Gold Leader: Gold Squadron, Rebel Alliance.
Greatest achievement? My dog Tess. She is my pride and joy. She came from a rough background. When I adopted her she had little trust or like for humans. Getting her to become the happy, healthy, and semi-sociable dog that she is today was the most difficult journey I have ever undertaken in my life. I am immensely proud of her and so grateful for all the love and joy she has brought into my life.
